Sam & Eve’s Intimate Chester Wedding at the Town Hall

I was so excited when Sam & Eve got in touch with me & I heard about their plans for the first time - they were planning their day EXACTLY how they wanted it to be instead of following age old traditions that didn’t feel like a good fit for them.

The Day Itself…

I met Sam & Eve at the Grosvenor Hotel where they’d started their day together. Eve looked absolutely stunning in an elegant silk dress by Whistles (check out their bridal range if you’re looking for something different to a traditional wedding dress!) … And Sam scrubbed up pretty well too!

We then spent the next 30 minutes or so wandering round Chester City Centre. Heading to all their favourite spots to capture their wedding portraits. If you’re planning an untraditional wedding or starting your celebrations later in the day, this is the perfect way to not feel rushed during your photos &not having to miss any of your drinks reception!

Next stop: the iconic Chester Town Hall! It was so good to be back after it had closed for refurb a couple of years ago. It’s such a stunning building and really feels like the heart of Chester. Sam & Eve walked down the aisle together, hand in hand - something that was important to them!

After plenty of hand picked fizz (well researched by Sam) it was on to Chez Jules. A favourite spot of Sam & Eve’s, for their intimate dinner party wedding reception. The candlelit atmosphere set the perfect mood for a night of laughter, heartfelt toasts, and delicious food.

A Sunny Autumnal Wedding at Rookery Hall, Nantwich

Rosie & Gareth got married in the beautiful Cheshire wedding venue, Rookery Hall which just so happens to be less than 20 minutes door to door for me (jackpot!)

They chose the most perfect Autumnal day in October (very well planned guys) - the air was crisp, the sun was beaming & the grounds were covered in Autumn leaves - the hall looked absolutely gorgeous.

Rosie & Gareth tied the knot in front of all of their nearest & dearest. Vows were exchanged, confetti flew, and just like that, they were officially Mr. & Mrs!

P.S. If you’re looking for a dog friendly wedding venue, Rookery Hall is definitely worth a look! They couldn’t have been more accommodating & it meant that Rosie & Gareth could have all of their loved ones there with them!

Rebecca & Dom's Colourful Garden Wedding in Cheshire

There’s something truly special about photographing a wedding that perfectly reflects a couple’s personality, and Rebecca & Dom’s big day was exactly that!

The day kicked off with a buzz of excitement as Rebecca got ready, surrounded by her nearest and dearest. It was then off to Norcliffe Chapel in Styal, Wilmslow to get the pair wed! The chapel is set in such an idilic spot with cobbled alleys and beautiful little terrace houses - it was the perfect place to capture the newly wed’s wedding portraits!

Rebecca & Dom’s invited their guests back to Rebecca’s beautiful family home where they had a marquee set in the garden, dressed with wild flowers and brightly coloured ribbons. It was the most perfect relaxed afternoon filled with laughter & love & as I said earlier, captured their personalities to a tee!

An Epic 2022 Roundup!

An Epic 2022 Roundup!

Twenty Twenty Two

What a year 2022 has been! After catching up with all the covid postponements in 2021 - the busiest wedding season EVER, I decided to limit my bookings for 2022 to slightly less than normal. This meant I could dedicate more time to each of my wonderful couples, have enough down time to reflect & LOVE my job again & have some much needed personal time. After all, 2022 was the year I tied the knot too!

I think this year has been my very favourite year photographing weddings. Everyone was still super grateful to be out partying with their nearest & dearest but without covid holding back any of the fun.

I have also had the most wonderful couples this year & I owe a huge thank-you to each and every one of you for asking me to be a part of your day. I can still remember each and every one of the 300+ weddings I’ve photographed, & whilst names can get a bit blurry as time ticks on, this year has given me some of the most memorable weddings to date!
