An Epic 2022 Roundup!

An Epic 2022 Roundup!

Twenty Twenty Two

What a year 2022 has been! After catching up with all the covid postponements in 2021 - the busiest wedding season EVER, I decided to limit my bookings for 2022 to slightly less than normal. This meant I could dedicate more time to each of my wonderful couples, have enough down time to reflect & LOVE my job again & have some much needed personal time. After all, 2022 was the year I tied the knot too!

I think this year has been my very favourite year photographing weddings. Everyone was still super grateful to be out partying with their nearest & dearest but without covid holding back any of the fun.

I have also had the most wonderful couples this year & I owe a huge thank-you to each and every one of you for asking me to be a part of your day. I can still remember each and every one of the 300+ weddings I’ve photographed, & whilst names can get a bit blurry as time ticks on, this year has given me some of the most memorable weddings to date!

Tina & Phil's Liverpool Bash at The Titanic Hotel

Titanic Hotel Liverpool Wedding Photography

Tina & Phil’s wedding came round a year later than expected thanks to the big C, but it was well worth the wait. Tina looked a vintage vision with her birdcage veil & a red lip, whilst Phil looked like he’d won the jackpot all day!

Titanic Hotel was, of course, a pleasure to photograph once again. The urban location & industrial warehouse feel gives a really unique & cool vibe to the day.

You can see for yourselves how much fun this pair had, with the biggest grins on their faces all day. They prioritised the bits that they wanted to do & threw out some of the old traditions that didn’t suit them. Which is exactly the right thing to do!

Lucy & Eddie's Epic Botanical Wedding at Sefton Palm House

Sefton Palm House Wedding in Liverpool

“Ahhhhh Jess these are AMAZING!! Even better than I was hoping for! Thank you so so much for being a part of our day and for capturing it so beautifully. So many guests also said to me how lovely you were and made everything so easy.”

Lucy & Eddie won the award for the most covid-postponement dates so that, plus the fact that Sefton Palm House is one of my very favourite wedding venues, meant that I was super excited about this wedding alllll Summer!

These guys know how to through a good bash too. The atmosphere was amazing and the cherry on top of an incredible day - wedding band, The Rush rocked up and made sure the dance-floor was NEXT LEVEL!

Karly & Chris's Liverpool Wedding at the Iconic Liver Building

Liver Building wedding in Liverpool

“There, honestly, just isn’t enough words. You’ve captured all the love and happiness that everyone felt all day and we didn’t stop smiling looking through them all. I will forever sing your name from the rooftops if anyone needs photographer recommendations. Thank you just doesn’t seem enough”

- Karly & Chris

Karly & Chris chose to tie the knot at the iconic Liver Building in Liverpool! It was my first time shooting there and I was super excited to photograph a wedding in the infamous building. The space was decorated beautifully, with pale blue & peach flowers, giant balloons & a flower arch. I didn’t expect the venue to be so light and airy but with floor to ceiling windows, the light was beautiful!

An emotional Chris waited for Karly to walk down the aisle, arm in arm with her mum. After the pair met at the end of the aisle, they made it official in a room full of smiling faces! I absolutely love that Karly’s bridal party was made up of both Bridesmaids & Bridesmen. It’s such an old tradition for the girls to stick with the girls & guys to stick with the guys so it was great to see Karly mixing it up & just having her nearest & dearest accompany her down the aisle!

Karly & Chris, thanks so much for asking me to be a part of your special day. You were an absolutely pleasure photograph & I hope you love them as much as I do! <3

Aimee & Dan's Intimate Elopement at St George’s Hall in Liverpool

A St Georges Hall Elopement in Liverpool

When Aimee got in touch to ask if I was available for her and Dan’s elopement in Liverpool, I nearly bit her hand off! Although I’ve done a lot of intimate weddings with only a handful of guests, I’ve never photographed one where there were no guests at all and it’s been a bucket list experience for me for ages!

Even more exciting was that Aimee & Dan asked me to be an official witness for them too, which was an honour I’ll never forget!

I left my house at silly o’clock in the morning as I didn’t want to get caught in traffic getting into Liverpool City Centre so early on a Monday morning. After grabbing a giant coffee I wandered over to St George’s Hall to wait for the pair to arrive. The sun was shinning as the light was beautiful, it was the perfect setting for such a lovely day.

Aimee & Dan soon arrived followed by their very talented florist who was doubling as their 2nd official witness! The service was so touching, made all the more special due to the pair only having each other to focus on. After they were announced Husband & Wife, we set out to make use of the amazing light we’d been blessed with!

Aimee & Dan, thank-you so so much for choosing me to be a part of your day. It was such an honour & it’ll stay with me forever <3

Kelly & Michael's Titanic Hotel Wedding in Liverpool

Titanic Hotel wedding in Liverpool

My favourite moment during Kelly & Michael’s day? It’s absolutely got to be when Kelly’s veil took off whilst I was photographing their portraits! It not only detached itself and blew off... it travelled so high and so far that it was never to be seen again!

I already knew that nothing could knock the smile of their faces but after Kelly burst out laughing as she watched her veil blow off in the wind, it definitely confirmed that they were having the best day ever & no hiccup on the day would ever stop them!

The Titanic Hotel in Liverpool is a super cool, urban venue with a huge reception room lined with festoon lights and vintage posters of the titanic itself. It’s been on my list of bucket list venues for ages and it definitely didn’t disappoint!

Kelly & Michael, thanks so much for asking me to be your photographer. I had so much fun & absolutely loved being a part of your day <3

Chloe & Paul's Winter Wedding at 30 James Street in Liverpool

30 James Street wedding in Liverpool

Chloe & Paul got married at the super stylish Liverpool city centre venue, 30 James Street. The hotel has the hugest bridal suite I've ever seen! It's decked out with all the grandness of the Titanic and with two giant beds big enough to fit the whole bridal party in, it makes the perfect 'night before the wedding' venue.

I was so excited for Chloe & Paul's big day as I love the cosy, magical feel of a proper winter wedding and waking up to see snow falling was such a bonus! The newlywed's were absolute troopers as we popped outside into the snow to get some photographs on the terrace.

Chloe & Paul, thanks so much for asking me to be a part of your day. Hope you have an aamazing time in Dubai <3

Sam & Craig's Botanical Wedding at Sefton Palm House, Liverpool

Sam & Craig were an absolute dream to photograph on their Liverpool pre-shoot a few weeks back, so I was excited to get them in front of the camera again for their Sefton Palm House wedding!

Their wedding was one of those days that had it all. Not just one but three mouth-watering cakes, 99 red balloons, confetti so colourful it dyed Sam's dress & a sparkler exit shot to top it all off. It was a jam packed day leaving little time to stop for breath, but wow was it worth it!

Sefton Palm House in Liverpool has been on my venue bucket list for ages now and I wasn't left disappointed. It has such an unique set up; with it's huge green-house style structure filled with plants of all shapes, colours & sizes. The light in there is beautiful and it felt so bright and airy even despite the rain!

Sam & Craig, thank-you so much for asking me to be a part of your day. I had such an amazing time and I hope you love your preview <3
