What a year 2017 has been!

35 weddings

7 engagement shoots

and a grand total of 18,172 photographs delivered to my lovely couples <3

2017 was my fourth year in business and my busiest so far too! I always get asked whether I think I'll get bored shooting weddings but it's impossible... it just keeps getting better and better! It might sound cheesy but it really is a huge honour to be invited to share the most important day of someone's life with them.

Thank-you so much to each and every one of this years lovely couples, my year wouldn't have been the same without!

Bring on 2018!!

Mandy & Paul's Chinese/English Wedding at Manchester Town Hall

Wedding Photography at Manchester Town Hall

Mandy & Paul chose to tie the knot in the beautiful & iconic Manchester Town Hall. Both Paul & Mandy grew up in the UK however later moved over to Hong Kong but felt it was only right to have their day in the UK with their friends & family. They wanted to combine both English & Chinese traditions which made for such a special & unique day.. & a lot of outfit changes for Mandy!

Chloe & Paul's Winter Wedding at 30 James Street in Liverpool

30 James Street wedding in Liverpool

Chloe & Paul got married at the super stylish Liverpool city centre venue, 30 James Street. The hotel has the hugest bridal suite I've ever seen! It's decked out with all the grandness of the Titanic and with two giant beds big enough to fit the whole bridal party in, it makes the perfect 'night before the wedding' venue.

I was so excited for Chloe & Paul's big day as I love the cosy, magical feel of a proper winter wedding and waking up to see snow falling was such a bonus! The newlywed's were absolute troopers as we popped outside into the snow to get some photographs on the terrace.

Chloe & Paul, thanks so much for asking me to be a part of your day. Hope you have an aamazing time in Dubai <3

Joanne & Damien's Autumnal Pre-Shoot with Frank the Frenchie, Cheshire

delamere forest wedding shoot, cheshire

A lot of couples want their pre-wedding shoot to be during the summer months, which is understandable... but if you catch the right day in Autumn, just look what you can achieve!

Those colours and that light at 2pm on a fresh November's day... just perfect.

Joanne & Damien you were a delight to photograph and I literally cannot wait to see what you've been planning for May!

And last but not least, a big shout out to Frank, the Frenchie <3

Laura & Jonny's Autumnal Wedding at Gorton Monastery in Manchester

A manchester wedding at Gorton Monastery

Laura & Jonny held their beautiful Autumnal wedding at the incredible Gorton Monastery in Manchester. It was the first time I'd had the chance to shoot there and I would absolutely love to get the chance to return.

The Monastery looked so dramatic & grand decked out with fiery oranges and yellows & each table was named after places from Game of Thrones - it was a the perfect setting for a feast fit for the kings!

Laura & Jonny, thank-you so so much for asking me to be a part of your beautiful day <3

Sam & Craig's Botanical Wedding at Sefton Palm House, Liverpool

Sam & Craig were an absolute dream to photograph on their Liverpool pre-shoot a few weeks back, so I was excited to get them in front of the camera again for their Sefton Palm House wedding!

Their wedding was one of those days that had it all. Not just one but three mouth-watering cakes, 99 red balloons, confetti so colourful it dyed Sam's dress & a sparkler exit shot to top it all off. It was a jam packed day leaving little time to stop for breath, but wow was it worth it!

Sefton Palm House in Liverpool has been on my venue bucket list for ages now and I wasn't left disappointed. It has such an unique set up; with it's huge green-house style structure filled with plants of all shapes, colours & sizes. The light in there is beautiful and it felt so bright and airy even despite the rain!

Sam & Craig, thank-you so much for asking me to be a part of your day. I had such an amazing time and I hope you love your preview <3

Alicia & Danny's chic oh me oh my wedding in liverpool

oh me oh my liverpool wedding photography

So with wedding season slowly starting to wind down, it's finally that time of year again when I get chance to blog some of the gorgeous weddings that I've photographed and didn't get time to over the summer!

Alicia & Danny tied the knot in the Holy Rosary Church in Aintree and then headed over to Oh Me Oh My, a chic and stylish Liverpool city centre wedding venue, to carry on the celebrations with the friends and family! This pair have some seriously cool taste; with brightly coloured flowers & gin bottles decorating the tables, a mouth watering floral, caramel & gold leaf wedding cake & fairy lights a plenty - the room looks absolutely gorgeous and suited the pair down to a tee!

Oh Me Oh My has some of the best views in Liverpool of the iconic Liver Building. With their rooftop bar directly opposite the birds, it would have been rude not to head up there for some truly Liverpudlian wedding portraits!

Danny & Alicia, thanks so much for asking me to be a part of your day & what a bloody good one it was. Keep on enjoying married life <3

Alison & Chris's DIY Altrincham Wedding, in Manchester

Altrincham Town Hall Wedding, Manchester Wedding Photographer

I absolutely love shooting weddings that don't follow the usual timeline, it's great witnessing couples tie the knot how they want to do it, not how they think they should & Alison & Chris did just that!

The newly wed's made it official with an intimate ceremony at Altrincham Town Hall followed by vintage tea-party celebrations at a Village Hall in Manchester!

It was an absolute pleasure of a day to photograph :)

Georgie & Eddy's Urban Wedding at Constellations in Liverpool

2020-01-13_0045.jpg

What a day... Five locations in seven hours left little time to stop for breath, but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way!

Constellations is probably up there as one of the coolest venues I’ve shot at. You can find it right in the heart of Liverpool's Baltic Triangle, surrounded by urban streets & graffitied walls. I loved how different it was from the usual picturesque green landscapes I’m used to shootingâ€Ļ However we still couldn't resist making a quick stop in the woodlands on our way into Liverpool, (would be rude not too, right?)

Georgie & Eddy, you were a pleasure to work with & I’m sure you’ll agree, you absolutely nailed your couple shots! Hope you’re enjoying life as Mr & Mrs & I can’t wait to share your full gallery with you xx

Also, would you just look at Georgie's dress <3

Laura & Alan's Cotswolds elopement at The Lost Orangery, Colerne

2020-01-09_0104.jpg

When Laura & Alan called a few months ago, I was so happy I still had their date free. I wouldn't usually be tempted to travel so far for a shorter day however I couldn't resist after looking up The Lost Orangery online and seeing how incredible it was. And the icing on the cake... there were only 14 guests attending, it sounded absolutely perfect & definitely didn't disappoint.

I was only with Laura & Alan for four hours but it was certainly short but sweet! The weather took a turn for the better after an awful forecast and the sun even came out in time for their ceremony under the thatch-roofed boat house. After their intimate service was over & the pair were declared Husband & Wife, we set off round the grounds to make use of the picturesque setting.

It's hard to remember you're still in Britain when walking round The Lost Orangery. It has all the charm & character of a Italian Palazzo or a French Chateau and really is a photographers paradise. After wandering the grounds for a while shooting Laura & Alan's portraits, we headed back down to the lake to suss out if the little boat was sturdy enough for a bride & groom!

Laura & Alan, you're definitely up there as one of my bravest couples after getting into that little boat, I hope it was worth the nerves! Hope you have an amazing party up north with your friends and family <3
