Georgie & Eddy's Urban Wedding at Constellations in Liverpool

2020-01-13_0045.jpg

What a day... Five locations in seven hours left little time to stop for breath, but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way!

Constellations is probably up there as one of the coolest venues I’ve shot at. You can find it right in the heart of Liverpool's Baltic Triangle, surrounded by urban streets & graffitied walls. I loved how different it was from the usual picturesque green landscapes I’m used to shooting… However we still couldn't resist making a quick stop in the woodlands on our way into Liverpool, (would be rude not too, right?)

Georgie & Eddy, you were a pleasure to work with & I’m sure you’ll agree, you absolutely nailed your couple shots! Hope you’re enjoying life as Mr & Mrs & I can’t wait to share your full gallery with you xx

Also, would you just look at Georgie's dress <3

Laura & Alan's Cotswolds elopement at The Lost Orangery, Colerne

2020-01-09_0104.jpg

When Laura & Alan called a few months ago, I was so happy I still had their date free. I wouldn't usually be tempted to travel so far for a shorter day however I couldn't resist after looking up The Lost Orangery online and seeing how incredible it was. And the icing on the cake... there were only 14 guests attending, it sounded absolutely perfect & definitely didn't disappoint.

I was only with Laura & Alan for four hours but it was certainly short but sweet! The weather took a turn for the better after an awful forecast and the sun even came out in time for their ceremony under the thatch-roofed boat house. After their intimate service was over & the pair were declared Husband & Wife, we set off round the grounds to make use of the picturesque setting.

It's hard to remember you're still in Britain when walking round The Lost Orangery. It has all the charm & character of a Italian Palazzo or a French Chateau and really is a photographers paradise. After wandering the grounds for a while shooting Laura & Alan's portraits, we headed back down to the lake to suss out if the little boat was sturdy enough for a bride & groom!

Laura & Alan, you're definitely up there as one of my bravest couples after getting into that little boat, I hope it was worth the nerves! Hope you have an amazing party up north with your friends and family <3

Delia & Sean's Fun filled Willington Hall Wedding in Cheshire

a willington hall wedding in cheshire

I can't express how much fun Delia & Sean's big day was.

Firstly, a huge shout out to Delia, who climbed over a wooden fence in her dress & heels to get into the fields surrounding the hall for their photographs. Never an easy task but you did it in style & it was totally worth it!

Secondly, Delia & Sean had completely decked out the lawn with hoola hoops, space hoppers, limbo, hay bales & a seriously cool VW Camper photobooth! Oh and jester hats all round.. just because. And to top it all off, as everyone was having such a good time outside, Delia & Sean decided to do their first dance out there too, surrounded by their loved ones all singing along to Oasis, it was such a perfect moment.

I hope wedding number 2 is as perfect as this one, have an amazing time in Romania guys.. I can't wait to hear about it when you're back <3

Danni & Pasq's Lavender wedding at prestwold hall, loughborough

a prestold hall wedding in loughborough

Being asked to photograph another photographer's wedding day is such a flattering thing however it's a teeny bit scary too! So Danni, a huge thanks for putting your trust in me :)

Prestwold Hall looked absolutely gorgeous, surrounded by countryside & the sun shining for the first time in ages! The day was topped of with a special appearance from the CUTEST fluff ball, Enzo (who took bribes of salami in return for posing) & of course, a raffle - as in the words of Danni's stepdad, no good event is complete without one!

Danni & Pasq, thanks again for asking me to be a part of your beautiful day. Hope you're having an amazing time in Ibiza <3

Lauren & Niall's Sheldrakes Wedding on the Waterfront

Lauren & Niall only booked me a few months ago & I was so pleased when I still had their date free. They filled me in on their plans of having the ceremony at the gorgeous Ness Gardens and then heading over to Sheldrakes Restaurant for their reception on the waterfront - both venues I’d shot at before & couldn’t wait to get back to.

Sheldrakes is one of those lucky few venues that has a seriously cool photo-worthy location right on it’s doorstep. It’s situated right on the estuary and is lined with moored boats, making a unique spot for portraits. Lauren looked uhh-mazing in her dress, which had a removable skirt to transform it into a fish-tale number for the evening do & Niall, of course, scrubbed up pretty well too! They absolutely rocked their portrait shoot, surrounded by boats, sun going down & huge grins across their faces. What more can a photographer as for!

Thanks so much for inviting me to be a part of your day & thank you again for the beautiful flowers. Have an amazing honeymoon guys, hope you’ve got your feet up with a cocktail in hand <3

Zara & Chris's leverhulme hotel wedding on the wirral

A leverhulme hotel wedding on the wirral

Zara & Chris got married in the beautiful Christ Church in Port Sunlight, Wirral. I've been lucky enough to photograph several weddings at this gorgeous church now & have more weddings booked in there in the coming years! It has the longest aisle, perfect for making a grand entrance & the grounds are beautiful.

After the ceremony we headed over to 'the dell' for Zara & Chris's photographs, before making our way to The Leverhulme Hotel to carry on the celebrations.

The Leverhulme Hotel is a great venue, with a beautiful outdoor area & huge room for the wedding breakfast which also has a central dancefloor!

It was an amazing day & I can't wait to get back to both Christ Church & The Leverhulme Hotel for some more beautiful weddings :)

Emily & Daniel's super stylish wedding at merrydale manor, cheshire

2017-09-14_0064.jpg

This Friday I had the absolute pleasure of 2nd shooting Emily & Daniel's beautiful day at Merrydale Manor, for my lovely photographer friend Cat Walsh!

I very rarely have time to 2nd shoot after my filling my diary up with my own bookings, but when I do get the chance to squeeze a date in, I absolutely love it! There's something very inspiring about watching another photographer in action & it's a great opportunity to take a step back from the pressure of timings and group shots and focus on the things that you don't always get the chance too much when being a main shooter!

Claire & Simon's Oddfellows Wedding in Chester

Claire & Simon made it official at the quirky & fun Chester wedding venue, Oddfellows. They wanted to have a small intimate day where their nearest & dearest watched their legal ceremony before their huge wedding celebrations in France next year!

It was a beautiful day & Claire & Simon were so fun & full of life, it was an absolutely pleasure of a wedding to photograph!

Phil & Nicola's Outdoor Wedding at Nunsmere Hall, Cheshire

nunsmere hall wedding photography

I'd been dying to shoot a wedding at Nunsmere Hall in Cheshire and was over the moon when Nicola & Phil booked me for their day there!

We've had such a rainy few weeks and I had all my fingers crossed that the sun would make an appearance for Phil & Nic as they had their hearts set on an outdoor wedding ceremony. I turned up at Nunsmere nice and early to have a scout round for locations before I met Nicola and the bridesmaids getting ready, the sun was out and there were blue skies all round, an absolute miracle!

After Nicola was wedding-ready & in her dress, I headed outside to photograph the ceremony area before the guests were seated. Just as I got outside, a huge black cloud blew over and it started chucking it down! I quickly dumped my camera inside and ran out to help the staff gather up the chair covers & roll up the carpet so it didn't get ruined. As quickly as the rain started, it stopped & the sun & blue skies were back once again! We all stood there in disbelief not knowing whether to carry on moving everything inside or start putting it back out. The wedding co-ordinator called Nic and she bravely said they'd go ahead with the outdoor ceremony. With 5 minutes to go we all raced around setting up again and making it perfect for the Bride & Groom.

Nicola definitely made the right call. The sun carried on shining and there wasn't a drop of rain in sight!
