Olivia & Gavin's Bartle Hall Wedding in Preston, Lancashire

I was so so excited when Olivia and Gavin booked me for their beautiful wedding at Bartle Hall in Lancashire. I'd shot there back in 2014 & loved it, so couldn't wait to get back again. The whole day was super chilled out just like Olivia & Gav wanted & with the British heat wave still in full force, everyone was in great spirits relaxing in the sunshine all day.
When I met up with Olivia to chat about the pair's plans, she told me they wanted two things; tons of flowers to decorate the venue and a beautiful golden hour for their photographs.. both of which were definitely achieved! The room looked amazing decorated with floral displays and candles and after the newly wed's and their guests had enjoyed their wedding breakfast amongst the flowers, we headed outside into the golden light for some evening photographs!

Sarah & Tez's West Tower Wedding in Lancashire

I met Sarah & Tez back in 2014 when Sarah was bridesmaid for one of my lovely couples, Nikki & Kyle.
After a bit of a rainy start to the day, the idea of a glorious sunset seemed a million miles away but come 7pm, the skies started to clear and I was on standby for that magical 'golden hour' lighting. I must of checked outside 1000 times trying to time it perfectly, but the later it got, the more the sun disappeared behind the clouds. In the end we left it as late as we could and headed back to the most picturesque corn field you've ever seen to make the most of what little evening sun there was.
I must of taken two or three shots when the clouds moved and the sun came blazing out. It could not of been more perfect timing and we were left with, quite possibly, the best lighting I've ever had chance to shoot with at a wedding!

Alice & Glenn chose to be married at the amazing Stanley Villa Farm, near Preston. As I arrived at the farm I was so excited! There was a beautiful lake, stunning scenery & the 'glamping' pods looked super cool dotted amongst the fields... But it just kept getting better!
Round the corner there was a huge tipi set up ready for the wedding reception, complete with a fire pit & fairy lights. Behind the tipi was a small path leading right into the thick of the forest to a small clearing surrounded by trees, the lovely Amy from Sweetpea & Ivy had been busy setting up hay bails, arches & embroidered throws ready for Alice & Glenn's ceremony in the woods!
It really was one of the most beautiful services I've ever seen & it was filled with the touching moments & traditions of a Hand-fasting ceremony. After Alice & Glenn had exchanged their vows the rings were passed round their guests for each person to bless the couple & their family, three of the couples closest friends were then invited to wrap ribbons round Alice & Glenn's hands, each ribbon representing a part of their marriage & their new bonds as husband and wife.
The rest of the day was spent celebrating till the sun went down (and much, much later,) filled to the brim with rustic wedding, glamping loveliness!
